St. Paul, Minn. — Innovia Medical has announced the acquisition of two prominent specialty medical device companies—Grace Medical and Hurricane Medical—as part of its strategic plan to build a globally integrated platform focused on advanced surgical solutions.

Grace Medical, headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., is a global leader in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) technologies, while Hurricane Medical, based in Bradenton, Fla., is recognized for its high-quality ophthalmic surgical products. Together, the acquisitions broaden Innovia Medical’s clinical footprint and expand its capabilities across two key surgical specialties.

“These acquisitions represent a pivotal step in our growth strategy,” said Terry Meredith, CEO of Innovia Medical. “Grace Medical and Hurricane Medical bring proven expertise and complementary product portfolios that strengthen our ability to deliver high-quality, patient-focused solutions to clinicians worldwide.”

Grace Medical is known for its specialized ENT devices and legacy of innovation in addressing complex surgical challenges. As part of the acquisition, Grace Medical President and COO Michael Crook will take on a new leadership role guiding the ENT division at Innovia Medical.

“Joining forces with Innovia Medical allows us to create a world-class ENT platform,” said Crook. “Together, we have the scale, expertise, and product depth needed to better serve specialists and advance care for patients.”

Hurricane Medical adds a range of ophthalmic surgical solutions to the Innovia portfolio. The company will benefit from Innovia’s expanded commercial infrastructure and global reach. “We see tremendous opportunity for growth under the Innovia umbrella,” said Dell Bauslaugh, President of Hurricane Medical. “This partnership enhances our ability to deliver value to both our customers and team.”

The company emphasized that customers and partners will experience no disruption in day-to-day operations. Existing sales and service contacts will remain in place as integration moves forward.

The acquisitions are backed by Inverness Graham Investments, which supports Innovia Medical’s long-term growth strategy. By bringing together strong brands and specialized expertise, Innovia aims to strengthen its position as a leader in surgical innovation across ENT and ophthalmology.
