SAN DIEGO– Ford Hutman Media (FHM), an industry-leading, life science-focused strategic communications firm, announced the appointment of Meriel McCaffery as Vice President, Head of Corporate Communications.

Meriel joins FHM with more than ten years of agency leadership, most recently with Wachsman, a leading strategic consultancy focused on the new economy. Prior to that role, she spent several years at Real Chemistry (formerly W2O Group) partnering with healthcare clients, including Merck, Pfizer, Sobi, CVS Health, Viatris, Medtronic, and Amgen. In that role, she has also counseled multiple Fortune 500 companies such as Chevron, IBM, and Verizon.
Meriel has worked with the c-suite to solve some of the most pressing industry challenges of our time, and brings an expansive range of PR, and business acumen to FHM. Her expertise includes executive positioning, product launches, change management, crisis, digital communications integration, function enhancement, internal communications optimization, influencer identification and engagement, media outreach, messaging reach and resonance, and branding.
