CLEVELAND– Medical device and technology company Lazurite today announced that its ArthroFree™ Wireless Camera System for minimally invasive surgery will be available for viewing and hands-on demonstration at the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress 2022, October 16–20 in San Diego at Booth 1111.

The ArthroFree System is the first wireless surgical camera system to receive 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration for arthroscopy and general endoscopy. Laith M. Jazrawi, MD performed the first-in-man surgery using the ArthroFree System in mid-September at NYU Langone Orthopedic Center.

“We look forward to bringing the ArthroFree Wireless Camera System to the American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress for the first time,” Lazurite CEO and cofounder Eugene Malinskiy said. “By eliminating conventional camera cables that tether the surgeon to the surgical tower, the ArthroFree System is expected to increase OR efficiency and lower customer costs. Additionally, with its solid state, low heat, high efficiency light technology, the system promises to eliminate camera related patient burns and OR fires. ArthroFree is a modular system designed to be drop-in compatible with existing patient data consoles, surgical displays and endoscopes found in minimally invasive operating rooms.”
