BRENTWOOD, Tenn.– Lifepoint Health®, a diversified healthcare delivery network dedicated to its mission of making communities healthier®, today announced that it has appointed Aaron Lewis to the role of executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). Lewis, who currently serves as Lifepoint’s executive vice president, growth and integrated solutions, will replace current CFO Michael Coggin, who will retire in March 2024.

“We are grateful to Mike for his 15 years of service and dedication to Lifepoint. He has been a trusted and steady steward of our finance team and has seen our company through unprecedented growth and change,” said David Dill, chairman and chief executive officer of Lifepoint Health. “As an existing member of our leadership team, Aaron is a natural fit to take over the CFO role. He is dedicated to the success of our company, both operationally and financially, and I look forward to his continued leadership.”

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Lewis began his career in investment banking as an analyst at Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York. He transitioned into healthcare operations in 2009 and served in various development and operational roles at Vanguard Health Systems, RegionalCare and RCCH HealthCare Partners. Prior to joining the Lifepoint leadership team in 2018, Lewis was senior vice president of strategic growth at RCCH.

Before his role as executive vice president, growth and integrated solutions at Lifepoint, Lewis served as senior vice president, care continuum and business transformation. His responsibilities included overseeing physician services, growth and business transformation, strategic partnerships across Lifepoint’s communities, development, marketing, and information technology. He also played a key role in the development of the company’s enterprise-wide innovation strategy, Lifepoint Forward.

“I am excited about the opportunity to continue to serve Lifepoint in this new role,” said Lewis. “Mike has been an incredible leader for our organization, and I look forward to working alongside him and the rest of our finance and leadership teams through this transition and into the future as we continue to advance our mission of making communities healthier.”

Coggin previously served Lifepoint as senior vice president and chief accounting officer, a role in which he was responsible for external financial reporting, corporate accounting and more. Prior to that, he held various financial roles at Specialty Care Services Group and Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. KGaA.
