PLTW Elects Zuheir Shahwan to Board of Directors

INDIANAPOLIS– Project Lead The Way (PLTW) announced today that it has elected Zuheir Shahwan to the Board of Directors of the nation’s leading provider of teacher-empowered STEM curriculum. Shahwan’s position as an Independent Director on the board is effective immediately.

“Zuheir brings a wealth of global commercial business experience and leadership to our board with expertise across multiple industries, including manufacturing, life sciences, and financial services,” said PLTW President and CEO Dr. David Dimmett. “We are thrilled to have Zuheir join the PLTW Board of Directors and support our team as we continue the important work in reaching millions of students and educators across the U.S.”

Shahwan is currently the Executive Director of Global Channel Capabilities for Cummins Inc. in Indianapolis, Ind., a global power leader in manufacturing, servicing, and supporting engines, power generation products, and components committed to achieving zero-emissions. He is responsible for the development of the Cummins Global Channel Strategy with a focus on achieving the industry’s best partner experience.

Since joining Cummins Inc., in 2018, Shahwan was previously head of Global Sales Operations where he established and led sales operations across five business units in more than 200 countries. Before Cummins Inc., he held various positions at Eli Lilly & Company where he led the global commercial operations and strategy of global sales for digital platforms across multiple business units in 91 countries. Throughout his career, Shahwan has built and led high-performing world-class global organizations and led numerous global large-scale commercial transformational initiatives.
