BURLINGTON, Mass.– The Massachusetts Innovation Network celebrated the conclusion of its 2024 Eddies Season last night. This eight-month innovation-fueling program began in March, featuring nearly 100 startup teams across six Innovation Tracks. Seventeen teams advanced to the final live phase of the competition on October 9, where they delivered four-minute pitches and showcased their technologies. Throughout the program, startups received individualized mentorship, tailored entrepreneurial development modules, and hands-on support to propel their commercialization and scaling efforts. The season culminated in an exciting celebration where seven companies were honored with The Eddie Award (formerly the New England Innovation Award).
The event featured keynote speaker John L. Brooks III, Managing Director of Healthcare Capital LLC, former President and CEO of the Joslin Diabetes Center, and co-founder of seven life sciences companies, including Insulet Corporation, a leader in insulin delivery technology and the 2006 NE Innovation Award winner.

Additionally, the cross-category Robert J. Crowley Eddie Award, which honors individuals or teams that embody breakthrough thinking, a passion for improving lives, and an unwavering commitment to advancement, was presented to Joanna Shu and FreezeNit.
