NEW YORK– Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that New York partner Amanda Zablocki has been appointed co-leader of the firm’s Healthcare industry team.

In just the last year, the firm has continued its strategic growth, adding 15 healthcare partners around the country, providing additional, highly specialized experience and knowledge for clients. Under Klein’s stewardship, Sheppard Mullin has established a full service Healthcare practice that spans all 12 of the firm’s U.S. offices from California, Texas and Chicago to Washington, D.C. and New York and covers all sectors of the industry. “As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, so does our practice, and I am proud to have Amanda lead our team with me,” said partner Eric Klein, Sheppard Mullin’s Healthcare Team Co-Leader. “Amanda is widely respected by clients for her keen industry insights, broad expertise and her ability to solve complex problems. A trusted legal and strategic advisor, Zablocki represents a broad variety of healthcare organizations, including hospital systems, health plans, physician groups, private equity and healthcare technology companies. Zablocki leads complex deals, with a focus on strategic and transformative transactions ranging from mergers and acquisitions to joint ventures to value-based enterprises, and she advises clients how to navigate the dynamic legal and regulatory landscape to achieve their objectives. Zablocki began her career as a litigator and frequently leverages such experience to provide strategic advice in connection with governmental investigations and pre-litigation disputes.

Zablocki has long been recognized as a leader in healthcare and in the community. She co-founded Sheppard Mullin’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative, an exclusive initiative that provides support to women professionals in the healthcare and life sciences industries and has long been a champion of women’s healthcare and for women in the legal industry, having served as Co-Chair of the New York Women Lawyers’ Group (WLG) for several years before joining the firm’s WLG National Leadership Council. Amanda has also served as the Recruiting Chair for the New York Office and has devoted substantial efforts to cultivating the next generation of lawyers of the firm.
