SAN FRANCISCO— Trellis Health, a new digital health platform focused on empowering women with proactive and personalized care, has officially launched out of stealth mode with $1.8 million in pre-seed funding. The round was backed by Palette Ventures, Swizzle Ventures, NEXTBLUE, Suncoast Ventures, Sundial Foundation, and a group of prominent healthcare investors, including Care.com founder Sheila Marcelo and the co-founders of Flo Health.
Founded by Estelle Giraud, a former commercial leader at Illumina, and Ryan Nabat, who serves as CTO, Trellis Health aims to close longstanding gaps in women’s healthcare by providing continuous, AI-driven support across all life stages. The platform connects to more than 50,000 healthcare providers and turns fragmented medical records into easy-to-understand, actionable timelines that support decision-making throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
“For too long, women have had to navigate their health and their families’ health without adequate tools or support,” said Giraud, who was inspired to launch Trellis by her own experiences during pregnancy and her background in genomics. “We’re using decades of health history to create a secure, intelligent system that puts women at the center of their own health journey, offering insights and care solutions that can change outcomes for generations.”
Trellis Health is positioning itself as more than just another pregnancy or wellness app. It is being developed as an operating system for lifetime women’s health, offering personalized guidance, expert-backed resources, and proactive care through key partnerships with providers. By integrating AI and consumer-friendly design, Trellis seeks to replace disjointed solutions like urgent care visits, web searches, and manual record-keeping with a comprehensive, secure, and intuitive platform.
According to Giraud, the vision for Trellis includes redefining how health data is used—by giving women direct access to their own information and using it to enable better outcomes, not just for themselves but for their families and future generations.
“Trellis Health is stepping in at a breaking point in digital health,” said Rana Taghdisi Argenio, founding partner at Palette Ventures. “With wellness tools and wearables flooding the market, consumers are overwhelmed by fragmented data and few resources to make sense of it. Trellis offers a unified platform that delivers proactive health management in a way modern women truly need.”
The company’s long-term goal is to shift the narrative around women’s health by reducing maternal mortality, improving postpartum care, and giving users the ability to take control of their long-term health outcomes. By placing AI-powered insights and a deep integration of medical history into women’s hands, Trellis Health hopes to add not only years to life—but quality and confidence to those years.
