PALO ALTO, Calif. — Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati has added a major figure in corporate law to its ranks, announcing that Danielle Naftulin has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Department. With nearly 25 years of experience advising early-stage companies and venture capital investors, Naftulin brings deep expertise and a robust network to the firm’s Palo Alto office.

Previously a partner at Cooley, Naftulin is recognized as a leading legal advisor in the life sciences, healthcare, and technology sectors. Her arrival strengthens Wilson Sonsini’s nationally acclaimed life sciences practice, which has handled over $97 billion in public offerings and M&A deals, and advised on more than 1,500 venture financing rounds totaling $14.5 billion in recent years.

“Danielle is an outstanding attorney, and we are pleased to welcome her to the firm,” said Doug Clark, Wilson Sonsini’s managing partner. “Her background aligns perfectly with our core strengths, and her reputation for excellence and client dedication makes her a valuable addition to our team.”

Naftulin’s practice includes representing emerging growth companies through all stages of development—from seed funding to IPOs—as well as counseling top venture firms such as ARCH, Norwest Venture Partners, Redmile Group, and Sonder Capital. She also plays an active role in shaping the venture ecosystem, serving on the National Venture Capital Association’s General Counsel Advisory Board and frequently speaking at industry events.

“Danielle partners with a mix of biotech, digital health, hardware and software, and consumer internet companies, providing practical, straightforward solutions,” said Allison Spinner, partner and head of Wilson Sonsini’s Corporate Department. “She’s collaborative, highly respected, and deeply trusted by both startups and investors. We’re thrilled she’s chosen to join us.”

Recognized by Chambers USA and Lawdragon as a top venture capital attorney, Naftulin has also been honored as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star and a recipient of the YWCA of Silicon Valley’s Tribute to Women in Industry award.

Naftulin earned her law degree from UCLA in 2000 and holds an undergraduate degree in history with honors from the University of Michigan.

“I am excited to join Wilson Sonsini and contribute to its leading corporate life sciences practice,” said Naftulin. “The firm’s culture of collaboration and innovation makes it an ideal place to support entrepreneurs and investors transforming industries and markets.”
