JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– Availity, the nation’s largest real-time health information network, has announced the appointment of Michael Gaven as Chief Growth Officer. Gaven, a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in scaling enterprise technology businesses, joins the company at a time of rapid change and opportunity within the healthcare industry.

In his new role, Gaven will oversee Availity’s growth strategy, leading sales, marketing, and client experience teams with a focus on enhancing customer value, increasing platform adoption, and strengthening the company’s leadership in healthcare information exchange.

“Michael’s background in leading large-scale growth at global technology companies aligns perfectly with our mission to simplify healthcare through better data and collaboration,” said Russ Thomas, CEO of Availity. “He brings an operator’s mindset, a customer-first approach, and a deep understanding of how to unify cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth.”

Prior to joining Availity, Gaven served as Senior Vice President of Healthcare at Salesforce, where he led go-to-market strategies for both payer and provider sectors. Under his leadership, Salesforce’s healthcare business consistently achieved double-digit growth and built a reputation for customer retention and operational excellence. He also held senior positions at Oracle, overseeing cloud solutions in the retail and service industries.

“What drew me to Availity is its unique ability to solve real, systemic challenges in healthcare—not just through point solutions, but by delivering a comprehensive, intelligent platform that bridges payers and providers,” said Gaven. “This is a mission-driven company with incredible potential to transform healthcare delivery, and I’m excited to be part of that journey.”

Gaven is known for his collaborative leadership style, focus on customer success, and ability to create high-performing teams that align around strategic outcomes. He has long been an advocate for building strong partnerships and delivering measurable value in complex enterprise environments.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Management from Pace University and lives in New Jersey with his wife. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Gaven’s appointment comes as Availity continues to expand its footprint as a critical infrastructure provider in the healthcare ecosystem, facilitating real-time data exchange that supports efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration across the industry.
