BOSTON — Basil Systems, a life sciences data intelligence platform, has launched a new AI-powered feature called Insights within its Basil Intel for Pharma suite. Designed to speed up and sharpen global drug labeling strategies, the tool enables pharmaceutical teams to compare international drug labels and extract actionable intelligence in seconds.

Insights will make its public debut at the DIA Global Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., from June 16 to 20, where Basil Systems will host live demonstrations at booth #513.

By automating what has historically been a slow and manual process, Insights aims to transform how regulatory, medical, and commercial teams navigate drug labeling, regulatory compliance, and competitive positioning. Users can select specific sections of multiple drug labels—such as “Indications and Usage” or “Clinical Studies”—and receive a structured output that includes a summary of the content, shared language comparisons with source traceability, and a breakdown of key differences between the labels.

“This feature automates a process that typically takes days or even weeks,” said Basil Systems CEO and Founder Anthony Cirurgiao. “Whether your team is planning a launch, navigating regulatory pathways, or refining labeling strategy, Insights delivers high-impact analysis instantly.”

Built on Basil Systems’ proprietary BasilLink dataset, which integrates global drug labels with regulatory guidances, clinical trials, safety records, and real-world evidence, Insights uses semantic AI and advanced redlining to provide context around label variations. The tool helps teams distinguish between minor editorial changes and meaningful clinical or regulatory updates.

Sam Kay, Vice President of Pharma at Basil Systems, emphasized the impact on productivity and decision-making. “Comparing drug labels manually is time-consuming and prone to error,” he said. “Insights not only accelerates that work but adds clarity and traceability, allowing teams to make informed decisions quickly.”

In addition to the new feature, the Basil Intel for Pharma platform includes tools for real-time alerts, regulatory language tracking, and market analytics—capabilities that help life sciences companies reduce risk and accelerate go-to-market efforts in a competitive landscape.

With the launch of Insights, Basil Systems is further positioning itself as a go-to platform for pharmaceutical companies seeking to integrate regulatory intelligence, commercial strategy, and AI-driven data analysis.
