LOS ANGELES — COPE Health Solutions, a national health care consulting firm focused on enabling success in value-based care, has announced the appointment of Dr. Richard Petrucci as its new Chief Medical Officer. The addition of Dr. Petrucci marks a strategic move by the company to bolster its clinical leadership and expand its capabilities in medical management, analytics, and care delivery.
Dr. Petrucci brings extensive experience from his roles as chief medical officer, medical director, and quality leader at health plans and integrated physician associations. At COPE Health Solutions, he will oversee all aspects of clinical strategy, including medical management, clinical and financial analytics, and value-based care enablement. He will also serve as CMO of the affiliated CHS Medical Group, which includes the upcoming launch of Care at Home Solutions, a program designed to serve complex, high-utilization patients with multiple chronic conditions.

In his new role, Dr. Petrucci will help clients maximize the impact of the company’s Analytics for Risk Contracting (ARC) platform by integrating clinical operations with data-driven decision-making. His expertise in quality improvement, chronic care management, and regulatory standards such as NCQA accreditation will support clients across Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial lines of business.
Dr. Petrucci previously served as CMO at SOMOS Innovation, where he oversaw care coordination for more than 1,000 primary care physicians across New York’s South Bronx and broader Downstate region. His background also includes nearly a decade in the pharmaceutical industry, where he contributed to the development of insulin therapies for diabetic patients.
With his blend of clinical and operational experience, Dr. Petrucci is expected to play a pivotal role in COPE Health Solutions’ continued expansion and in supporting the performance of provider networks operating under value-based care models.
