CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Elemental Machines, a leader in intelligent lab operations technology, has announced an expanded partnership with LabCentral, a prominent incubator for early-stage biotech and life sciences startups. The collaboration, which designates Elemental Machines as a Gold Sponsor, extends across all six LabCentral sites, including its flagship location at 700 Main Street in Cambridge.

As part of the expanded agreement, Elemental Machines will provide its Intelligent Operations Platform and validated hardware integrations to support environmental and equipment monitoring across LabCentral’s facilities. The partnership represents more than $590,000 in support over the next three years, with technology deployed to track critical lab systems such as cold storage units, incubators, ovens, gas and liquid nitrogen manifolds, and more.

“LabCentral has long been a vital hub for scientific innovation, and we’re proud to support their mission by giving early-stage companies the operational tools they need to thrive,” said Sridhar Iyengar, Founder and Chief Strategy & Technology Officer at Elemental Machines. “Our platform provides real-time monitoring and scalability to help startups grow efficiently and safely—from incubator to enterprise.”

LabCentral currently supports more than 125 startups and over 1,000 scientists and entrepreneurs across 243,000 square feet of lab and office space in Cambridge and on the Harvard University campus. The facility offers startups a turnkey environment to accelerate their scientific progress without the infrastructure burdens of traditional lab setups.

Margaret (Maggie) O’Toole, CEO of LabCentral, praised the long-standing collaboration with Elemental Machines. “We’ve worked with Elemental Machines for years, and their technology has become essential to our operations, helping our resident companies reduce risk and optimize their lab workflows,” she said. “We are grateful for their expanded support of LabCentral and the next generation of innovators.”

As part of the broadened relationship, Elemental Machines will also contribute to onboarding and training services for new LabCentral residents. Through relocation and transition support, startups will gain immediate access to integrated lab monitoring tools, allowing them to hit the ground running with improved efficiency and risk mitigation.

The expanded partnership underscores both companies’ commitment to fostering biotech innovation in Kendall Square, one of the world’s most active life sciences hubs.
