Boston, MA– Koala Health, a digital pet health startup, has secured $20 million in Series B funding to advance its mission of streamlining chronic pet medication delivery for both pet owners and veterinarians. The round was led by Valspring Capital.
The Boston-based company plans to use the new capital to expand its mobile-first platform and enhance services that simplify prescription management. Koala Health’s model connects directly with veterinary clinics, enabling pet owners to easily access and manage medications online across all 50 states.
“Veterinary clinics are under pressure, and pet owners are facing longer waits for care,” said Gavin Cotter, CEO and founder of Koala Health. “We’re helping bridge that gap by working with both sides to make prescription management fast, reliable, and convenient.”
Koala currently supports more than 25,000 independent veterinary clinics nationwide, helping them offload the challenges of in-house medication storage and fulfillment. The platform also serves a growing base of more than 80 million pet parents through its online storefront, Koala.health.
Yumin Choi, partner at Valspring Capital, called Koala a modern solution to outdated veterinary systems. “By partnering with clinics and easing the burden on pet parents, Koala is creating a smarter, more efficient care ecosystem,” he said.
The Series B raise positions Koala to scale its operations amid growing demand for remote and tech-enabled pet healthcare services.
