Boston, MA– Ora, a leading global ophthalmic contract research organization (CRO), has appointed Henry (Hank) Gerock III as its new General Counsel. The move aims to strengthen the company’s legal operations and improve the client experience as it continues to support complex, multi-country clinical trials in ophthalmology.
Gerock brings extensive legal and regulatory experience to the role, having most recently served as General Counsel for the Clinical Research Group (formerly PPD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific. There, he led global legal operations supporting large-scale CRO services.
At Ora, Gerock will oversee legal and contracting functions, with a focus on streamlining processes, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing client engagement. His international legal expertise is expected to support Ora’s mission of accelerating the delivery of innovative eye care treatments worldwide.
“Ophthalmic clinical trial contracting can be especially complex,” said Paul Colvin, CEO of Ora. “With Hank’s appointment, we’re reinforcing our commitment to delivering a seamless legal experience for clients so they can focus on advancing life-changing therapies.”
Gerock’s appointment underscores Ora’s broader strategy to scale its global capabilities while maintaining the speed and precision required in ophthalmology research.
