Mobile 5G Telehealth Translation Stations

MIAMI & SAN JOSE, Calif. – DT Research has partnered with Homeland Language Services to launch mobile 5G telehealth translation stations that provide real-time, multilingual interpretation for patients across various care environments. The new solution aims to promote health equity, reduce interpretation costs, and enhance communication between healthcare providers and patients with limited English proficiency or hearing impairments.

Combining DT Research’s advanced medical computing hardware with Homeland Language Services’ certified interpretation network, the mobile stations are equipped to deliver remote consultations in over 120 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL). These stations are designed for use not only in hospitals and clinics, but also in emergency response, education, legal, and security settings.

The translation stations are built around DT Research’s medical-grade tablets and all-in-one computers—either the 373MD or the 584TM—featuring large 17-inch or 24-inch displays, 5G connectivity, clear audio, and two-way microphones. Their rugged design includes antimicrobial enclosures, IP65-rated front panels, and hot-swappable batteries, ensuring continuous operation in demanding conditions.

Homeland Language Services supplies the live interpretation services through a team of certified medical interpreters, ensuring that language barriers do not compromise the accuracy or quality of care. The system enables clinicians to deliver clear instructions, diagnoses, and treatment plans while fostering a deeper understanding and trust between providers and patients.

“This collaboration brings together precision-engineered medical technology with expert language interpretation to support clinical confidence and better patient care,” said Daw Tsai, President of DT Research. “By ensuring patients and their families understand their medical care regardless of language, we are improving outcomes and access to healthcare.”

Ernesto Lanazca, COO and Co-founder of Homeland Language Services, emphasized the impact of the technology on patient experience. “This solution eliminates communication barriers in healthcare settings, reduces the risk of medical errors due to miscommunication, and ensures every patient receives the support they need—regardless of their native language,” he said.

The telehealth translation solution will be featured at WHX Miami (formerly FIME) from June 11 to 13 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, where DT Research will host live demonstrations daily at booth K77.
