WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. – OnMed, a leader in hybrid, tech-enabled healthcare, has unveiled the first-ever OnMed CareStation located inside a U.S. airport. The high-tech health kiosk, positioned in the main terminal at Bradley International Airport in Connecticut, officially launches on June 17, 2025, marking a milestone in expanding accessible healthcare to high-traffic public settings.
The CareStation offers travelers and airport employees immediate access to licensed clinicians in a secure, private environment. Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools such as thermal imaging, real-time body scanning, and sensors to monitor vital signs, the station delivers fast and comprehensive evaluations. Passengers can now receive quality medical care without stepping outside the terminal.
“This OnMed CareStation is our commitment to meeting people where life happens,” said Karthik Ganesh, CEO of OnMed. “Whether you’re a traveler passing through or an airport employee wrapping up a shift, everyone deserves timely access to healthcare. Bradley International Airport is more than a travel hub—it’s now a doorway to immediate, high-quality care.”
Developed in partnership with Hartford HealthCare, the installation introduces a new layer of convenience for business travelers, flight crews, parents with children, and seniors managing chronic conditions. For employees and crews who may struggle to find time for care during long shifts or tight schedules, the walk-in station provides an essential support system.
The OnMed CareStation is particularly valuable for travelers who may experience unexpected health issues such as fevers, coughs, fatigue, or digestive discomfort while en route. The service model is designed to eliminate the need for detours or long waits in urgent care clinics, especially during travel disruptions.
Michael W. Shea, Executive Director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, welcomed the addition to Bradley’s passenger services. “Congratulations to Hartford HealthCare on their innovative efforts to revolutionize healthcare,” Shea said. “We are pleased to introduce their renowned brand and virtual care to millions of passengers at Bradley International Airport.”
As the first OnMed CareStation in an airport, this debut sets the stage for broader deployment of telehealth access points in other travel centers across the country. With its seamless integration of technology and clinical care, the initiative represents a significant step forward in bringing healthcare directly to the public—where and when they need it most.
