HUDSON, Wis. — Phillips Medisize, a Molex company specializing in medtech and drug delivery device manufacturing, has launched TheraVolt™, the first in a new line of branded medical connectors designed to improve integration, reliability, and performance in next-generation medical devices. The connectors mark a major step in the company’s efforts to bring tailored connectivity solutions directly to the medical technology market.

TheraVolt is engineered to meet the growing demand for advanced medical connectors, especially in rapidly evolving fields like electrophysiology (EP), where pulsed field ablation (PFA) technologies are gaining traction. These procedures require high pin count densities, compact designs, and the ability to transmit both signals and high voltage safely—capabilities that TheraVolt connectors are designed to deliver.

According to Phillips Medisize, TheraVolt offers broad cross-platform compatibility, helping reduce development time, customization costs, and complexity in device integration. This added flexibility supports the creation of capital equipment with longer life cycles and expanded functionality, particularly in treating conditions like atrial fibrillation.

“With the launch of TheraVolt, we’re delivering more than just a connector—we’re offering medical device developers a foundation for innovation,” said Pete Soupir, Vice President of the MedTech segment at Phillips Medisize. “These connectors support enhanced integration and data collection capabilities in increasingly sophisticated EP devices. They reflect our deep expertise in medtech manufacturing and Molex’s global leadership in interconnect solutions.”

TheraVolt is built to withstand the demanding conditions of the clinical environment. It offers high voltage clearance, sterilization compatibility, and compliance with key IEC and IPC safety standards. The connectors are available off-the-shelf but can also be customized to meet specific application needs, offering flexible configurations based on pin count and electrical requirements.

The launch is the first in a series of planned medical connector releases from Phillips Medisize over the next 18 to 24 months. By leveraging more than 80 years of Molex’s interconnect innovation and Phillips Medisize’s six decades of medical device expertise, the company aims to establish a new benchmark in medtech connectivity, enabling faster and more efficient development of complex, next-generation medical devices.
