Irving, Texas– Vizient, a leading healthcare performance improvement company, has announced the appointment of Arun Ramasubramanian as president of its Data and Digital business unit. In his new role, Ramasubramanian will oversee the development and deployment of data-driven products and technology solutions designed to enhance clinical and operational performance across healthcare systems.
With extensive experience in healthcare technology and strategy, Ramasubramanian brings a strong track record of leading digital transformation initiatives at scale. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of UnitedHealth Group’s Optum Insight provider market, where he led a $4 billion global business supporting more than 500 health systems. He has also held senior roles at CommonSpirit Health and Medtronic, focusing on innovation in remote patient monitoring and large-scale tech integration.

Ramasubramanian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from PSG College of Technology and completed the Executive Development Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a U.S. patent related to data management and analytics, reflecting his continued focus on innovation in healthcare technology.
His appointment comes as Vizient looks to strengthen its data infrastructure and technology-driven services, which support hospitals and health systems in improving care quality, reducing costs, and optimizing operations.
