Windsor, Ontario– Windsor Regional Hospital has expanded its cancer treatment capabilities with the completion of a new radiation therapy vault, developed and installed by U.S.-based RAD Technology Medical Systems. The modular vault marks a major step forward in increasing the hospital’s capacity to provide timely, advanced care to cancer patients across the Windsor-Essex region.
The newly added vault—constructed using RAD’s proprietary granular shielding and modular building methods—was integrated into the hospital’s existing infrastructure with minimal disruption. The project was completed significantly faster than traditional construction methods, allowing the hospital to accelerate its service expansion.

The vault is the hospital’s fourth radiotherapy suite and is expected to boost treatment capacity while enhancing flexibility in patient scheduling. The facility includes an integrated control room designed to improve access, monitoring, and safety during treatment sessions.
