WALTHAM, Mass. — Wolters Kluwer Health has rolled out major updates to its Sentri7® Drug Diversion and Sentri7® Pharmacy solutions, aiming to help healthcare teams improve medication safety, enhance staff efficiency, and support better patient outcomes. The enhancements reflect the company’s continued investment in technology that strengthens compliance and clinical workflows in increasingly complex care environments.

The revamped Sentri7 Drug Diversion platform features a redesigned interface that allows healthcare organizations to more easily identify and respond to potential drug diversion incidents. New tools include a consolidated dashboard that presents risk factors and insights in a clear, actionable format. Enhanced HEAT™ scoring and trend analysis help facilities monitor high-risk individuals across locations, while a new missing medication analysis tool helps nursing teams reconcile discrepancies faster and with less manual effort.

According to a pharmacy manager interviewed by KLAS Research earlier this year, the system’s interface is “very straightforward” and “easy to train our diversion staff to use.” The manager highlighted how the HEAT score flags suspicious activity automatically, saving teams from manually sifting through data to identify red flags.

Meanwhile, updates to the Sentri7 Pharmacy solution aim to optimize medication therapy and reduce costs through a more streamlined, patient-centric workflow. The enhanced interface supports both individualized rounding workflows and broader medication surveillance across patient populations. New documentation tools make data entry more efficient and standardized, helping pharmacy teams demonstrate clinical and financial impact. Performance dashboards now offer clearer metrics on cost savings, departmental contributions, and outcomes.

Karen Kobelski, Vice President and General Manager of Clinical Surveillance Compliance & Data Solutions at Wolters Kluwer Health, said the updates are designed to help healthcare providers navigate today’s increasingly demanding clinical landscape.

“Our mission is to help healthcare organizations deliver safer, higher-quality care by optimizing the workflows behind patient care and regulatory compliance,” Kobelski said. “By combining deep expertise in pharmacy, technology, and AI, we’re providing solutions that directly address challenges like drug diversion prevention and medication management.”

Healthcare analysts have responded positively to the updates. One pharmacy analyst interviewed by KLAS noted that Wolters Kluwer’s team is “super engaging” and “collaborative,” adding that the company listens closely to user feedback when refining its products.

The new Sentri7 capabilities arrive at a time when hospitals and health systems are under increasing pressure to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and tackle issues such as the opioid crisis. By equipping care teams with faster, more effective tools, Wolters Kluwer aims to support providers in delivering safer, more accountable medication practices across the continuum of care.
