MCLEAN, Va. – Red Cell Partners has appointed Michael Kilberry as its new Chief Product and Technology Officer, bringing a seasoned technology leader with experience at Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Snowflake into its leadership ranks. The announcement underscores Red Cell’s focus on developing scalable, mission-driven technologies in healthcare, cyber, and national security.

Kilberry joins Red Cell from Google Cloud, where he served as Head of Product for AI/ML, Data & Analytics, leading integration efforts for Gemini and other AI initiatives across Google Cloud’s Data & Analytics portfolio. He previously led the development of Amazon Web Services’ geospatial and AI/ML products, including Amazon Location Service and Geospatial ML, and held foundational roles in Microsoft’s early cloud offerings, including what evolved into Office 365.

“Michael clearly could have taken his talents anywhere. But he chose to come to Red Cell because he believes in our mission to develop powerful tools and technologies aimed at addressing some of our Nation’s most pressing challenges,” said Grant Verstandig, founder, chairman, and CEO of Red Cell Partners. “With Michael on board, our customers and partners have access to a world-class product leader as they work to bring AI into healthcare and national security.”

In his new role, Kilberry will define product and technology strategies across Red Cell’s portfolio of incubated companies. He will work closely with teams to identify market opportunities, shape product development, and scale technologies that aim to solve complex problems in high-impact sectors.

Kilberry brings a track record of building innovative platforms and services, including leading applied AI teams, launching startups, and advising early-stage companies. Before joining Google, he founded and successfully exited an AI-focused legal tech startup. He also serves as an advisor to venture firm TQ Ventures and is on the board of Koodos Labs.

“We’re living in a time when the pace of change is faster than ever,” said Kilberry. “Strong, nimble startups are well-positioned to respond to this moment, and that is why I am so excited to be joining Red Cell—to help our incubations do that at scale. It already feels like home.”
