RALEIGH, N.C. — Merz Aesthetics has named two new executives to its North America leadership team as the company aims to bolster its commercial operations in the U.S. Chris Van Dyk has been appointed Vice President of U.S. Sales, and DJ Sethares will serve as Vice President of U.S. Marketing.
Van Dyk, who most recently led Merz Aesthetics Canada as Country Manager, brings over two decades of experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Prior to joining Merz in 2022, he held senior roles at companies including Johnson & Johnson, Bayer, and Alcon. His leadership has been credited with driving growth and strategic transformation, particularly through a focus on execution, accountability, and customer engagement.
Sethares joins from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)/ViiV Healthcare, where she spent 11 years in various commercial and leadership roles. Most recently, she led U.S. marketing for GSK’s Vaccine Business Unit, overseeing strategy and branding across multiple therapeutic areas. Her background spans both pharmaceutical and device industries, with a track record of building strong teams and developing brand strategies in competitive markets.
Patrick Urban, President of Merz Aesthetics North America, said the appointments come at a pivotal time as the company pushes for continued growth. “Their world-class expertise, leadership, and vision will be instrumental as we chart our future growth and continue driving the medical aesthetics industry forward,” he said.
Both executives will be based at Merz Aesthetics’ global headquarters in Raleigh.
