NEW YORK – Real Chemistry, a global healthcare marketing and communications firm, has announced the appointment of three senior leaders as part of its strategy to scale operations, accelerate innovation, and expand its global impact. JJ Schmuckler has been named Group President and Chief Revenue Officer, Michele Terra is taking on the role of President at 21GRAMS, and Brenna Terry joins as a President in Integrated Communications.

“As we enter our next chapter of growth, we’re bringing the full breadth of our capabilities to clients around the globe – more strategically, more cohesively and with greater impact,” said Shankar Narayanan, CEO of Real Chemistry. “With leaders like JJ, Brenna and Michele, we’re accelerating our ability to drive impact on a global scale through smarter strategy, stronger collaboration and the brightest minds in the business.”

Schmuckler brings nearly 20 years of experience in business development, client leadership, and creative strategy, most recently serving as global chief growth officer at VML. There, he led business development across a 30,000-person international network and secured key partnerships with major pharma and biotech clients. At Real Chemistry, Schmuckler will join the executive leadership team and work closely on top client relationships to expand global operations and unlock new business opportunities.

“Real Chemistry is at a pivotal moment – driven by momentum, purpose and an unwavering focus on healthcare,” said Schmuckler. “I’m excited to help scale our impact and build lasting partnerships that deliver value to clients and meaningful careers for our people.”

Terra, who previously led Omnicom’s Healthcare Consultancy Group, brings over two decades of experience in healthcare advertising and client strategy. Since joining Real Chemistry in 2024, she has played a central role in shaping the company’s Global Client Lead model. As President of 21GRAMS, she will oversee business operations, account management, and project execution, aiming to strengthen collaboration and elevate creative performance across the agency.

Terry joins from Burson, where she served as Global Chair of Healthcare and led a 1,000-person practice spanning 50 countries. She also launched new capabilities including Decipher Health AI and Gen Z Health, and held senior roles at AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Janssen North America. At Real Chemistry, Terry will focus on strengthening the firm’s integrated communications offering, expanding business opportunities, and guiding clients through complex health challenges using audience intelligence and strategic insight.

Narayanan said the new leadership will help the company deliver greater value to healthcare clients at a time of industry-wide transformation. “Our ability to attract leaders like JJ, Brenna and Michele speaks to Real Chemistry’s strength and potential. We’re redefining what’s possible at the intersection of data, technology, and human connection in health.”
