NEEDHAM, Mass. — SharkNinja has appointed Mike Harris as its new Chief Innovation and Technology Officer, tapping the veteran tech executive to lead the company’s push into smart, connected products.
Harris brings over three decades of experience in consumer electronics, most recently serving as Chief Product Officer for Amazon-owned Ring and Blink. During his time at Amazon, Harris played a key role in expanding the company’s smart home offerings, including the development of Ring Alarm and Smart Lighting products, and later overseeing Blink’s operations.
At SharkNinja, Harris will oversee global innovation and technology initiatives, leading teams across robotics engineering, IoT platforms, and electrical engineering. His responsibilities include integrating technology development with product design, marketing, and operations to scale up SharkNinja’s portfolio of connected home devices.
Company leadership said Harris was selected for his record of simplifying complex technologies into user-friendly products.
“Mike is a results-driven leader with a strong track record of delivering real consumer impact,” said Mark Barrocas, CEO of SharkNinja. “His approach to solving household problems with technology aligns with our mission to deliver meaningful innovation at scale.”
Harris said he was drawn to the company’s focus on practical technology.
“SharkNinja builds purposeful products that make a real impact on people’s lives,” he said. “I’m excited to join a team that blends consumer insight with cutting-edge engineering.”
Before joining Amazon, Harris founded several tech companies and led organizations through acquisitions and IPOs. His past roles include founding Ravisent Technologies, serving as CEO of Zonoff, and leading connected devices at DivX.
In addition to his corporate work, Harris sits on the board of SRAM, chairs the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, and advises several programs at Purdue University, where he earned his degree in electrical and computer engineering. (Source: IANS)
