NEEDHAM, Mass. — SharkNinja, Inc. (NYSE: SN) has appointed renowned design executive Howard Nuk as its new Chief Advanced Development & Design Officer (CADDO), the company announced Monday.
In the newly created role, Nuk will lead front-end concept development and early-stage product architecture, reporting directly to Chief Design Officer Ross Richardson. His mandate includes transforming bold ideas into cutting-edge SharkNinja products that aim to redefine consumer expectations across multiple categories.

Nuk brings more than 25 years of design and innovation experience spanning consumer tech, automotive, and luxury lifestyle sectors. He has held leadership roles at companies such as Samsung, Beats by Dre, Square, and most recently, Luminar, where he served as Chief Designer and Vice President of Design. At Luminar, he helped develop next-generation LiDAR systems and collaborated with Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 on designing what the company described as the world’s safest Safety Car.
Prior to Luminar, Nuk was Senior Vice President of Design & Innovation at Restoration Hardware and co-founded the reimagined Palm brand, launching a minimalist mini-smartphone in partnership with NBA star Stephen Curry and Verizon in 2018. His earlier roles include Vice President of Design at Samsung, where he helped create multiple wearable devices such as the Galaxy Buds and Gear S2, and Vice President of Industrial Design at Ammunition, where he played a key role in developing Beats headphones and the Square payment ecosystem with Jack Dorsey.
Nuk has also served as Creative Director at frog design, overseeing projects for major brands including Disney, Intel, and Starbucks.

A frequent speaker and judge at global design and tech forums, Nuk has earned over 100 patents and received numerous design accolades, including honors from iF, Red Dot, and the Industrial Designers Society of America. Fast Company has named him one of its “Most Creative People.”
