WILMINGTON, Del. & NEW YORK — Phreesia, a healthcare technology company specializing in patient intake and engagement, has announced a five-year collaboration with Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit behind Sesame Street, to deliver health education messages to millions of families at the point of care.

The initiative will use familiar characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby to engage parents and caregivers with evidence-based content about children’s health and wellness. Starting in October, joint campaigns will appear on Phreesia’s digital intake platform, reaching caregivers of children from birth to age five during medical check-ins.

“As a pediatrician, I’ve seen firsthand how hard it is to reach parents and caregivers with information that’s relevant, actionable and easy to understand,” said Christina Suh, M.D., MPH, Director of Clinical Affairs at Phreesia. “Sesame Street continues to be one of the best messengers on these topics for families across the country, and I couldn’t be more excited to see how sharing powerful messages with these lovable characters at the point of care can support better health.”

Over the five-year partnership, the organizations will deliver content focused on preventive care, vaccinations, emotional wellbeing, and healthy routines. The collaboration combines Sesame Workshop’s decades of educational storytelling with Phreesia’s ability to reach one in seven patient visits across the U.S.

“We’re delighted to welcome Sesame Street to the Phreesia network,” said David Linetsky, President of Network Solutions at Phreesia. “With their help, we’re turning wait time into a moment of learning and discovery, giving families the tools they need to talk to their doctors and tackle the big health challenges facing America’s parents today.”

For Sesame Workshop, the partnership extends its long-standing mission to support children’s development and resilience. “With a mission of helping all children grow smarter, stronger and kinder, we’ve always been committed to children’s overall health and wellness,” said Aaron Bisman, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing at Sesame Workshop. “We’re excited to collaborate with Phreesia to bring our purpose-driven storytelling into doctor’s offices, where we can meet new families and have a meaningful impact on pediatric health, wellbeing, and the experience of going to the doctor.”

The collaboration underscores how trusted children’s characters can help transform a routine doctor’s visit into an opportunity for education, comfort, and engagement.
