WESTBOROUGH, Mass.– eClinicalWorks®, the nation’s largest ambulatory cloud EHR provider, announced that Sun River Health, the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) on the East Coast, is successfully using the Sunoh.ai AI medical scribe to improve efficiency and reduce documentation time. With more than 500 providers across 50 sites in New York, Sun River Health is completing nearly 7,000 patient visits each month with the help of the integrated solution.
Sunoh.ai captures detailed patient-provider conversations and generates comprehensive notes, including the History of Present Illness, directly within the eClinicalWorks EHR. This allows providers to complete documentation the same day, even with heavy patient loads.
“I have complete faith Sunoh.ai will record and transcribe the conversation in a meaningful way, allowing me to focus entirely on patient care without the need to sit and type,” said Amanda Falick Ascher, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at Sun River Health. “As a provider who sometimes sees patients on off days and conducts home visits, I often don’t have a scribe assistant with me. On these visits, I use Sunoh.ai, and much like a scribe assistant, it gives me the freedom not to worry about the computer, which is remarkable.”
She noted that feedback from clinicians has been overwhelmingly positive. “One of our highest Sunoh.ai users, Dr. Than, said she could see up to 26 patients in a day and complete all of her documentation within 30 minutes of her final appointment. Our Quality Medical Director for Women’s Health even joked, ‘I’m going to need to find a new hobby.’ These stories show how transformative this technology has been for our providers.”
Sun River Health serves a diverse patient population that includes migrant and seasonal farm workers, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people living with HIV. In addition to primary and specialty care, the health center offers behavioral health, women’s health, dental, optometry, podiatry, adult day services, home health and housing support.
Before adopting Sunoh.ai, many Sun River Health providers either used human scribes or alternative scribe software, which proved costly and inefficient. The new AI-powered solution has cut documentation time, improved accuracy, and enhanced clinical decision-making.
“We’re excited to see that Sunoh.ai is assisting eClinicalWorks customers like Sun River Health to streamline documentation processes, improve efficiency, and enhance patient satisfaction,” said Girish Navani, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “Our goal is to support providers nationwide by offering integrated AI solutions that transform patient care.”
Trusted by more than 80,000 providers across the country, Sunoh.ai integrates seamlessly with the eClinicalWorks EHR and can be accessed on any device through the eClinicalTouch® 4 app.
