BOSTON– HealthEdge and UST HealthProof have completed their merger, forming a combined company under the HealthEdge name following Bain Capital’s acquisition of UST HealthProof from UST. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Boston, the new HealthEdge will touch more than 110 million lives through its expanded footprint across the U.S. healthcare system. The company will unite HealthEdge’s AI-powered payer applications with UST HealthProof’s interoperability suite, creating a next-generation claims operating system designed to streamline payer operations, lower costs, and improve patient and member experiences.

Kevin Adams, former CEO of UST HealthProof, will lead the combined company as CEO. Steve Krupa, former CEO of HealthEdge, will remain actively involved as a member of the board of directors. “Health plans are looking for new ways to handle rising costs and regulatory demands while meeting member expectations,” Adams said. “This merger brings together best-in-class technology with seamless integration capabilities, giving payers a solution that’s easier to implement and more effective.”

Supported by Bain Capital’s global healthcare investment expertise, the new HealthEdge aims to accelerate platform innovation, build an AI-native operating system for payers, and strengthen its unified market presence. “By bringing these two leaders together, we are creating the clear next-generation cloud-based claims system for payers,” said Paul Moskowitz, Partner at Bain Capital. “The combined company is well positioned to lower costs, harness AI-driven innovation, and deliver the frictionless U.S. healthcare experience of the future.”
