KAWASAKI, Japan — Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation has launched four new dual-channel, high-speed standard digital isolators designed for industrial applications. The new DCL52xx00 Series supports reliable data transmission with a high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100 kV/μs (typical) and a maximum data rate of 150 Mbps. Shipments began today.
The series includes two models with dual forward channels (DCL520C00 and DCL520D00) and two models with one forward and one reverse channel (DCL521C00 and DCL521D00). These new additions expand Toshiba’s lineup of digital isolators, joining the previously released quad-channel DCL54xx01 Series. With this launch, Toshiba now offers 14 standard digital isolator products, providing a broad range of channel configurations to improve design flexibility for equipment manufacturers.
The DCL52xx00 Series employs Toshiba’s proprietary magnetic coupling transmission method to achieve high electrical noise resistance, ensuring stable and accurate signal transmission between input and output. The high CMTI performance helps maintain reliable operation in environments with strong electrical interference, contributing to the overall stability of industrial control systems.
The devices also feature a low pulse width distortion of 0.8 nanoseconds (typical) and a high-speed data rate of up to 150 Mbps, making them ideal for multi-channel high-speed communication interfaces such as UART and I2C.
Toshiba has already begun mass production of digital isolators for both industrial and automotive applications. The company plans to continue expanding its product lineup, offering additional package types and channel configurations. Through ongoing innovation, Toshiba aims to deliver high-quality isolation devices and photocouplers that meet the demanding reliability and real-time data transmission needs of modern industrial and automotive systems.
