WHEELING, Ill. — EdgeOne Medical has named longtime life sciences executive Marty Shelton as its new Chief Operating Officer, adding a veteran with more than three decades of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and laboratory operations experience as the company looks to sharpen its operational performance and support future growth.
Shelton has held leadership roles at several major life sciences companies, including Merck & Co., Shire Pharmaceuticals, Alcami Corporation, and Pace Analytical Life Sciences. His background spans quality control, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, and technical process improvement — areas that have become increasingly critical as testing and development demands grow across the biopharmaceutical sector.
EdgeOne Medical specializes in development and testing services for combination products, an area that requires strict regulatory oversight and complex integration between devices and drug components. Company leaders said Shelton’s arrival is expected to bolster its ability to handle that growing workload.
