BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Trilliant Health, a healthcare analytics firm, announced the nationwide expansion of Oria, a free specialized chatbot designed to help users explore hospital price transparency data. Initially launched with pricing information for hospitals in Massachusetts, Oria now provides access to pricing data from more than 5,000 hospitals across all 50 states.

“With nationwide coverage, Oria delivers the most accessible view of hospital prices ever available,” said Hal Andrews, Chief Executive Officer of Trilliant Health. “Transparency is a critical step toward accountability in healthcare, and we believe that democratizing this data will result in competition on value for money – just as price transparency has catalyzed in every other industry.”

Oria uses hospital price transparency data alongside large language models to translate extensive datasets into conversational responses. Users can inquire about procedure pricing, compare rates across markets, and better understand the range of negotiated rates among hospitals. The tool is designed to be useful for patients, providers, health plans, life sciences companies, and policymakers seeking greater insight into healthcare costs.

Example inquiries include the average cost of a knee replacement in Houston, the range of negotiated rates for cardiac bypass surgery in Chicago, and which hospitals in Los Angeles have the highest rates for rhinoplasty.

“No company in America is more aligned with two of CMS’s key priorities – a dynamic national provider directory and price transparency – than Trilliant Health,” Andrews added. “Not only have we taken ‘free’ data about providers and hospital price transparency and made it easy to use, we have made it available to every American at no cost.”
