BOSTON — VideaHealth, a dental AI platform, in collaboration with Henry Schein One, has launched the Impact Panel, a new enhancement within the Detect AI experience for Dentrix and Dentrix Ascend users. The enhancement integrates VideaHealth’s real-time AI findings and patient education tools directly into existing imaging workflows, enabling clinicians to identify conditions more quickly and clearly explain treatment recommendations to patients.
“This next evolution of our partnership with Henry Schein One builds on the power of embedded AI; technology that delivers insights in the moment of care,” said Florian Hillen, CEO of VideaHealth. “When patients can clearly see and understand their oral health and why treatment is recommended, they feel more confident in their providers and their choices. That confidence builds trust and leads to patients accepting the right treatment at the right time, rather than delaying care.”
The Impact Panel pairs Detect AI’s clinical capabilities with visual tools designed to support patient education. It provides real-time AI-derived context to help patients understand oral health conditions, an interactive odontogram highlighting areas of concern, and a summary view that shows tooth damage percentages and bone-level information. Practices may also use on-screen diagrams, QR codes, and print options to offer patients educational materials to review after their appointment.
Practices using the QR-based patient education feature have reported a 19 percent increase in case acceptance. The companies noted that clearer communication and transparency are closely tied to improved treatment decisions.
“Our collaboration with VideaHealth reflects our shared commitment to providing seamlessly integrated technology that elevates patient care,” said Dr. Ryan Hungate, Chief Clinical and Strategy Officer, Henry Schein One. “Embedding AI insights directly within Dentrix and Ascend empowers dental professionals to make data-driven decisions and communicate findings more effectively, ultimately assisting with the continuity of care across every location.”
The Impact Panel is provided at no additional cost for existing Detect AI users and extends the value of embedded AI in the current clinical workflow. It continues the partnership between VideaHealth and Henry Schein One to enhance patient experience, diagnostic confidence, and treatment acceptance.
Dr. Seth Gibree, Senior Director of Clinical AI and Innovation at Heartland Dental, said, “Heartland is excited to bring the Detect AI Impact Panel into our clinical workflow. By keeping the entire AI imaging experience inside Dentrix, we expect to save valuable minutes per patient and reduce friction for our providers. This is a meaningful step forward in delivering smarter, faster care with the help of Videa’s AI technology.”
