WESTBOROUGH, Mass. — Sunoh.ai announced it has joined athenahealth’s Marketplace program, making its AI-powered medical scribe available to the company’s network of healthcare providers. The integration is designed to accelerate clinical documentation by converting natural patient–provider dialogue into comprehensive clinical notes within seconds, helping reduce administrative strain and improve encounter efficiency.
Trusted by more than 90,000 providers nationwide, Sunoh.ai is marketed as a tool that improves documentation accuracy and supports stronger patient–provider interactions. Esperanza Health Centers, a federally qualified health center in Chicago, reported measurable improvements in efficiency after adopting the platform, including reductions in documentation time and higher rates of same-day encounter completion.
“Sunoh.ai empowers practices of all sizes and specialties by streamlining documentation, reducing administrative burden, and enhancing provider satisfaction,” said Rakhee Langer, VP of Sunoh.ai. “By combining ambient listening with advanced AI capabilities, Sunoh.ai not only saves practices time but also enhances the accuracy and completeness of every note that truly reflects the patient encounters. We’re thrilled to join the athenahealth Marketplace to bring these capabilities to athenaOne users.”
Esperanza Health Centers provides bilingual primary care, behavioral health and wellness services across seven locations in the Chicago area. The organization said Sunoh.ai’s multilingual support, including recognition of varied Spanish dialects, has improved documentation quality for its diverse patient base.
“For our top three participating providers, Sunoh.ai reduced documentation time by two minutes per encounter, a reduction of approximately 11%. Additionally, same-day encounter closure rates increased by 22%,” said Nish Shivnani, VP of Information Technology at Esperanza Health Centers. “This technology has significantly reduced our providers’ post-visit documentation time, enabling them to close encounters quickly and conveniently on the same day.”
As a new Marketplace partner, Sunoh.ai joins an ecosystem that supports integration with third-party solutions serving more than 160,000 providers on the athenaOne network. The program allows practices to adopt complementary technologies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce administrative friction and support stronger financial and patient-care outcomes.
