WALTHAM, Mass. — Dash Bio has opened a new 24,000-square-foot, GLP-compliant laboratory facility in Waltham, significantly expanding its footprint in the Greater Boston area as the company scales its bioanalysis platform.

The bioanalysis contract research organization has moved into the facility at 21 Hickory Drive, which is now fully operational and accepting projects. The expansion represents more than a fivefold increase in space and is expected to substantially boost the company’s capacity for sample storage, advanced instrumentation, and automated workflows supporting pre-clinical and GLP-compliant bioanalysis.

Dash Bio said the new lab is designed to support faster turnaround times by prioritizing automation and standardized processes over manual workflows. The facility is intended to help reduce variability and improve predictability, allowing the company to deliver results in days rather than the weeks or months often associated with traditional CRO models.

“This facility gives us the capacity to serve more biotech companies who are tired of waiting months for data that should take days,” CEO Dave Johnson said in a statement.

Founded in 2024, Dash Bio has raised $17.5 million and is focused on serving biotech companies seeking faster development timelines and clearer pricing structures. The Waltham expansion positions the company to meet growing demand in one of the nation’s largest biotechnology hubs, as pressure continues to build across the industry for lab infrastructure that can support accelerated drug development cycles.
