WATERTOWN, Mass. — Konovo, a healthcare intelligence company focused on technology-driven research, has named Jessica Santos as its new Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer, strengthening its oversight of AI governance, data privacy and regulatory compliance as it expands globally.

Santos brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare compliance, artificial intelligence governance and data protection. She joins Konovo from Oracle Life Sciences, where she served as Global Compliance and Quality Director and Data Protection Officer. In that role, she led global regulatory, ethics and compliance initiatives across a range of healthcare technologies and solutions.

Before Oracle, Santos held senior compliance roles at Cerner, Kantar Health, Sermo and TNS. She also served as an associate professor at the University of Cambridge. Her background includes oversight of regulatory and ethical frameworks in clinical research, real-world research, health economics and outcomes research, and market research.

At Konovo, Santos will oversee compliance, AI governance, legal, data privacy and IT risk within a unified operating model designed to support growth while maintaining regulatory standards. She will also provide executive oversight of pharmacovigilance and adverse event monitoring to ensure the company meets global regulatory requirements.

The appointment comes as life sciences companies increasingly adopt AI tools in research and data analysis, prompting greater scrutiny around governance and transparency.

“Jessica’s appointment reflects our belief that trust is the foundation of great research intelligence,” said Tal Rosenberg, CEO of Konovo. “Her expertise in AI governance and compliance will strengthen every part of how we serve our clients and partners globally.”

Santos is a certified AI Governance Professional and a fellow of the Market Research Society. She serves on multiple industry ethics committees, including BHBIA, EphMRA and MAPS, and is co-chair of the ISPOR Code of Conduct Committee. She holds a Ph.D. from Newcastle University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
