BOSTON — Wearable health technology company WHOOP announced plans to hire more than 600 employees in 2026 as it expands its global platform focused on human performance and health monitoring.
The hiring initiative will add roles across software engineering, research and design, hardware development, product management and marketing, reflecting the company’s continued investment in artificial intelligence, clinical innovation and international growth.
“Right now, companies are debating whether to hire more people or just invest in AI,” said Will Ahmed, Founder and CEO of WHOOP. “We are doing both. We are doubling down on exceptional talent and doubling down on world-class AI tools because the combination is what wins. Health monitoring is becoming one of the most important platforms in the world, and WHOOP intends to own the category.”
Most of the new positions will be based at WHOOP’s headquarters in Boston’s Kenmore Square, with additional hiring expected across North America, Europe, the Gulf region and Asia.
The hiring expansion coincides with the launch of a new employer branding campaign aimed at attracting talent as the company enters its next stage of growth. WHOOP said the additional positions will support continued development of its wearable devices, research capabilities, product innovation and global brand presence.
The company said its hiring process remains highly selective, with roughly one hire for every 750 applicants and an acceptance rate of about 0.13 percent. WHOOP said it aims to maintain high hiring standards while expanding its workforce and global reach.
Company leaders said the expansion reflects its broader goal of building a wearable technology platform that helps users better understand their health, optimize performance and improve long-term well-being.
