BELLE, W.Va.– PureTech Scientific LLC (PureTech), a global leader in glycolic acid synthesis and technology, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Matthew Smith as Vice President of Global Operations.
Smith most recently served as Senior Project Manager and Consultant of Continuous Improvement, where he led cross-functional business and asset strategy teams to develop long term strategic roadmaps for individual business segments for DuPont de Nemours, Inc. Prior to DuPont, Smith was the Production Team Leader at Dow Corning Corporation. His prior experiences give him a wealth of industry knowledge to transition the PureTech Operations organization into the next era of opportunities and success.

Smith’s appointment underscores PureTech’s commitment to the organization’s Global Operations space in the Life Sciences and Specialty Chemical industries. Under his leadership, PureTech’s Operations Organization is poised to solidify its position as an industry leader, providing ultra-high purity alpha hydroxy acids across the Life Science and Specialty chemical sectors.
