Boston, MA— Gradiant, a global innovator in water and wastewater treatment, has earned a Gold award at the 2025 Edison Awards for its ForeverGone™ technology — the first all-in-one solution to both remove and destroy PFAS, or “forever chemicals,” in water sources.
The award, one of the highest honors in innovation, recognizes Gradiant’s leadership in addressing the growing global crisis of PFAS contamination. These synthetic chemicals, found in everything from industrial wastewater to landfill runoff, have been linked to cancer, immune system disorders, and developmental issues. Their resilience in the environment has made them notoriously difficult to eliminate — until now.
ForeverGone represents a major technological leap, combining PFAS removal and destruction into a single, on-site solution. Unlike conventional systems that simply concentrate PFAS for off-site disposal, ForeverGone uses Gradiant’s patented Micro-Foam Fractionation and Destruction Engine to permanently break down the chemicals using electro-oxidation. The result is water that meets or exceeds the latest U.S. EPA drinking water standards — without the risk of reintroducing toxins into the environment.
“For years, industries and municipalities have struggled with how to fully eliminate PFAS without creating additional risks to the environment,” said Anurag Bajpayee, CEO of Gradiant. “ForeverGone finally provides a true end-to-end solution — one that concentrates and destroys PFAS at the source. This recognition from the Edison Awards affirms the transformative impact of our technology and our mission to deliver clean water solutions at a global scale.”
Gradiant team members Anurag Bajpayee, Steven Lam, Katie Dobbins, and Mark Danchak were honored for their roles in developing and deploying the technology.
The Edison Awards, now in their 38th year, celebrate excellence in product innovation and human-centered design. Winners are selected by a panel of global executives, academics, and thought leaders across industries.
Gradiant is already rolling out ForeverGone across key sectors — including semiconductors, food and beverage, mining, and municipal water systems — helping to make PFAS remediation more effective and accessible worldwide.
The company’s solution, independently validated by multiple accredited laboratories, is being hailed as a new standard in environmental safety and sustainability.
