PITTSBURGH— Viatris Inc. (Nasdaq: VTRS) has appointed Hemanth J. Varghese as Chief Strategy Officer, the company announced Monday. Varghese will join the Executive Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping Viatris’ long-term growth and transformation strategy.
Varghese brings over two decades of experience in strategy, operations, and corporate development across global healthcare organizations. Most recently, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Venus Concept, a medical aesthetics technology firm. His previous roles include senior leadership positions at HLS Therapeutics, Endo International, Valeant Pharmaceuticals, Bausch & Lomb, and Biovail Corporation.
“Hemanth adds another valuable perspective to our Executive Leadership Team,” said Viatris CEO Scott A. Smith. “I believe his skills and expertise will be integral as we continue to shape our company for growth in 2026 and beyond.”
Varghese holds both a bachelor’s degree and a Ph.D. in medical biophysics from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
