EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. — While competitors across the hand dryer industry raise prices in response to evolving global tariff policies, Excel Dryer is holding firm. The Massachusetts-based manufacturer announced that its prices will remain unchanged, thanks to its longstanding commitment to producing American-made products.

Excel Dryer, best known for its XLERATOR® high-efficiency hand dryers, continues to manufacture its entire product line in the U.S. using parts sourced from domestic suppliers. The company says this domestic focus has helped it remain “tariff resilient” at a time when supply chains and pricing structures are under pressure from international trade tensions.

“Excel’s mission has always been to design and manufacture quality American-made products that are dependable and people like to use,” said William Gagnon, Executive Vice President and COO. “It’s in our DNA.”

The family-owned company, led by the Gagnon family, operates out of its East Longmeadow facility, where production continues uninterrupted despite industry challenges. While many leading hand dryer manufacturers have announced full-line price hikes, Excel’s U.S.-based operations have allowed it to maintain price stability without compromising product quality or availability.

Beyond its supply chain advantages, Excel Dryer also leads in sustainability. Independent life-cycle analyses show the XLERATOR uses up to 94% less energy and produces significantly less waste compared to 100% recycled paper towels. The company offers green building education programs and supports WELL Building certification efforts by promoting environmentally responsible restroom solutions.

Excel’s focus on hygiene has also been a key priority. In partnership with research firm Metrixlab, the company recently conducted a global study revealing that public restroom cleanliness is closely tied to business reputation. Paper towels strewn across floors or overflowing bins were cited as the top contributors to a perception of uncleanliness—something Excel’s touchless dryers help prevent.

“Every day, our workers here in Massachusetts create the world’s most efficient, environmentally friendly, and hygienic hand drying solution,” said Gagnon. “Born from American innovation, we are proud to set the standard for the industry.”

With its emphasis on domestic production, sustainable design, and public health, Excel Dryer is positioning itself not only as a stable option in uncertain times but also as a forward-thinking leader in the hand hygiene industry.
