Waters Unveils Xevo TQ Absolute XR Mass Spectrometer, Advancing Sensitivity and Efficiency for High-Throughput Labs

MILFORD, Mass.– Waters Corporation has introduced its most advanced benchtop tandem quadrupole to date, the Xevo™ TQ Absolute XR Mass Spectrometer, at the 73rd ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics. The new system raises the bar for robustness, sensitivity, and operational efficiency in high-throughput analytical labs.

Building on the success of its predecessor, the Xevo TQ Absolute, the XR model delivers up to six times greater robustness and resilience to contamination, reducing downtime and enhancing reliability in demanding testing environments. It is designed for laboratories focused on pharmaceutical quantitation, PFAS detection, and bioanalysis, where trace-level sensitivity and reproducibility are critical.

Engineered with sustainability and space-saving in mind, the Xevo TQ Absolute XR uses up to 50% less power and nitrogen gas, generates less heat, and occupies half the bench space of comparable instruments. It features Waters’ latest StepWave™ XR Ion Guide, designed to minimize maintenance while maintaining high precision even in the most challenging matrices.

Early adopters report strong performance.
