Michael Heinley Joins Sam Brown Healthcare Communications as Managing Director of Client Development

WAYNE, Pa. & NEW YORK — Sam Brown Healthcare Communications, a Blue Matter Company, has appointed industry veteran Michael Heinley as Managing Director of Client Development and Engagement. He will report directly to the company’s founder and president, Laura Liotta.

Heinley brings extensive experience in strategic communications within the life sciences sector, having held senior roles at Johnson & Johnson, Merck, WebMD, and most recently, Finn Partners. At Finn, he served as Senior Partner in the Global Health Practice, leading client engagement across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, health systems, and advocacy organizations.

“In today’s fast-moving and complex healthcare environment, Michael brings a distinct perspective on corporate, scientific, and brand storytelling that builds trust and delivers business impact,” said Liotta. “He will be instrumental in expanding our services globally and guiding our teams to help clients lead in an evolving landscape.”

Throughout his career, Heinley has led global product launches, R&D and financial communications, employee engagement, executive thought leadership, and crisis and reputation management. He has also provided strategic counsel to CEOs and C-suite leaders.

Named one of the industry’s most influential leaders and PM360’s Mentor of the Year, Heinley also serves on the board of Donate Life New York State, a nonprofit focused on organ and tissue donation.
