CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Elemental Machines has launched a new business intelligence (BI) platform designed to help life sciences laboratories translate raw data into actionable insights, offering scalable tools that adapt to labs of all sizes and stages of digital maturity.

The platform introduces a three-tiered model that ranges from real-time monitoring to full enterprise-level integration, giving labs flexibility to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize equipment performance.

“Scientific progress depends on more than just the data you collect; it depends on what you can do with it,” said Sridhar Iyengar, Ph.D., founder and chief strategy and technology officer at Elemental Machines. “With our business intelligence platform, we’re helping labs transition from raw data collection to creating a real-world operational impact — whether that means increasing equipment uptime, reducing costs, or making better, more informed decisions, faster.”

The first tier of the new BI system centers on the company’s core platform, which provides real-time alerts, compliance-ready reporting, configurable dashboards, and visual floorplans for immediate operational awareness. The second tier, called Dynamic Data Insights, adds trend analysis, predictive equipment health scores, and customizable dashboards that enable teams to monitor and optimize asset utilization. The third tier allows labs to integrate Elemental Machines’ data into their own enterprise systems such as Snowflake, Tableau, or Power BI, enabling advanced analytics, AI and machine learning applications, and cross-site visibility.

“Our goal is to meet every customer where they are, whether they’re just starting to automate compliance reports or building enterprise-wide digital twins,” said Andrew Eberle, senior director of customer solutions at Elemental Machines. “The platform adapts to each lab’s size, infrastructure, and goals. This helps teams scale their data usage without overcomplicating their workflow.”

Industry observers note that as labs generate increasingly complex datasets, scalable analytics platforms like Elemental Machines’ BI system are becoming essential for organizations seeking to improve efficiency, support compliance, and accelerate scientific discovery.
