BOCA RATON, Fla.– Massive Bio, a leader in AI-powered oncology clinical trial matching, today announced the launch of a new feature on its Patient Connect app, integrating directly with the Oracle Cerner electronic health records (EHR) platform. The move is designed to simplify access to medical records for patients and streamline trial-matching processes for hospitals and cancer centers.

The new application addresses a long-standing challenge in oncology: fragmented medical data. For patients, compiling a complete health history is often a cumbersome task. For providers, screening large populations for trial eligibility is resource-intensive and slow. With this launch, patients can now connect their My Cerner Chart directly to their Massive Bio profile, pulling comprehensive records in just a few clicks. Those records can then be processed by Massive Bio’s multi-agent neurosymbolic AI through its ASCO-featured prescreening hubs.

On the provider side, the Cerner integration introduces bulk data retrieval, allowing hospitals and cancer centers to securely process records for multiple consented patients at once. This functionality is expected to dramatically reduce the time and resources needed for pre-screening, helping research teams identify trial candidates at scale.

“Our mission is to ensure that every cancer patient has access to the best possible treatment options, and that starts with breaking down data silos,” said Selin Kurnaz, Ph.D., Co-founder and CEO of Massive Bio. “By integrating with a leading EHR provider like Cerner, we are empowering patients to control their data and giving hospitals the tools they need to accelerate life-saving research.”

“For a patient, time is of the essence,” added Dr. Arturo Loaiza-Bonilla, Co-founder and Chief Medical AI Officer of Massive Bio. “The ability to instantly pull their medical history and match it against thousands of clinical trials can be a game-changer. For hospitals, bulk data analysis means more opportunities to connect patients with innovative therapies.”

The integration expands Massive Bio’s reach into the U.S. healthcare system. Together, Epic and Cerner cover nearly two-thirds of providers and more than three-quarters of hospital capacity nationwide, making interoperability a critical factor in advancing clinical trial access and efficiency.
