Boston– Knownwell, a Boston-based primary care and metabolic health company focused on weight-inclusive treatment, has opened its first clinic in metro Atlanta. The new site is the company’s seventh opening in the past year, bringing its nationwide total to 10 physical locations alongside its virtual services.
The Atlanta clinic builds on knownwell’s mission to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for individuals living with overweight or obesity, a population often underserved by traditional healthcare systems. The company’s model emphasizes not only weight management but also broader health needs, offering metabolic services, prescriptions for GLP-1 medications, nutrition guidance, behavioral counseling, and primary care.
“Having struggled with obesity since childhood, I am extremely passionate about bringing inclusive care to communities across the U.S.,” said Brooke Boyarsky Pratt, co-founder and CEO of knownwell. “Georgia has one of the highest obesity rates in America, yet few options for obesity-focused health services exist. Knownwell’s arrival in Atlanta represents the next step in our nationwide expansion and continued goal to reach more lives across the U.S.”
Ijeoma Azonobi, the lead clinician for the Atlanta market, said the clinic will focus on creating a supportive environment. “Our community deserves healthcare that makes them feel seen and supported, while addressing the full spectrum of their health needs, not just a number on the scale,” Azonobi said.
The company, which accepts insurance, has expanded rapidly over the past year, including a recent clinic opening in Woburn, Massachusetts. Knownwell now operates locations across several states and continues to scale its hybrid model of in-person and virtual care.
