NEWTON, Mass.– Axena Health, Inc., a medical device company redefining the standard of care for pelvic health conditions through clinically proven, non-invasive treatments, announced it has been accepted into the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP Accelerator, an eight-week program designed to support and scale promising AgeTech companies improving life for adults over 50.
“We’re thrilled to join the AgeTech Collaborative from AARP Accelerator program as we continue to improve the standard of care for women’s pelvic health,” said Randy Pritchard, CEO of Axena Health. “The mission aligns with our commitment to support all women experiencing bladder leakage, particularly as urinary incontinence becomes more common with age. Participation in the accelerator program will be invaluable as we expand access to our clinically proven Leva Pelvic Health System and ensure more women receive the effective, first-line treatment they deserve.”
Axena’s Leva Pelvic Health System offers an innovative approach to pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT), the recommended first-line therapy for urinary incontinence. Supported by 11 peer-reviewed studies, the Leva 12-week treatment program is clinically proven to reduce bladder leakage by up to 80 percent, with improvements lasting for at least two years.
The AgeTech Collaborative from AARP Accelerator provides tailored resources, mentorship, and market access to selected startups committed to improving quality of life for older adults. The highly selective program connects participants with AARP’s research insights, consumer feedback, and expertise in product development, growth marketing, and user experience.
Through the accelerator, Axena Health aims to expand its reach to more women navigating menopause and age-related pelvic health challenges, advancing its mission to make effective, evidence-based pelvic care accessible to all women.
