SAN MATEO, Calif. — RapidAI, a pioneer in deep clinical AI and a global leader in enterprise imaging, has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for Aortic Management, part of its Rapid Aortic product suite. The new solution is designed to enhance the acute assessment and long-term surveillance of aortic disease by providing clinicians with automated, AI-driven measurements and insights.

Rapid Aortic integrates deep clinical AI to detect aortic aneurysms, dissections, and other abnormalities with greater accuracy and efficiency. Built on the Rapid Enterprise Platform, the solution delivers advanced characterizations, quantifies disease severity, and visualizes the entire aorta through automated 3D reconstructions, helping radiologists, surgeons, and clinicians support critical treatment decisions while reducing cognitive burden.

“This clearance reinforces the depth of our deep clinical AI platform and its growing impact across care teams,” said Karim Karti, CEO of RapidAI. “Rapid Aortic exemplifies how we’re delivering intelligent, workflow-integrated tools that move beyond detection to full patient management. By combining precision, speed, and seamless interoperability, we’re helping health systems improve efficiency, strengthen care coordination, and ultimately enhance outcomes for patients with aortic disease.”

The system analyzes all CT scans that include the aorta — including post-treatment and non-contrast studies — and supports clinical decision-making from the chest to the iliac arteries. It automatically generates guideline-based measurements such as six zonal maximums and eighteen landmark metrics, all with consistency and without inter-reader variability. With advanced visualizations and lab-quality imaging, the platform empowers vascular and cardiothoracic surgeons to confidently plan and monitor procedures.

“Rapid Aortic represents a significant advancement for aortic patient management,” said Dr. Trissa Babrowski, Vascular Surgeon at the University of Chicago. “With instant access to every textbook landmark and zonal maximum measurement, advanced visualizations, and robust longitudinal tracking for surveillance, Rapid Aortic empowers physicians to efficiently identify, confidently assess, and diligently monitor every aortic patient within their system.”

The solution’s longitudinal tracking feature enables clinicians to compare current scans with prior studies, facilitating early detection of changes that may require timely intervention. Personalized notifications and seamless integration into existing clinical workflows help prevent missed progress and streamline multidisciplinary collaboration.

Rapid Aortic is fully integrated into the Rapid Edge Cloud, a cloud-based IT platform with on-prem capabilities designed to maintain continuous operation during service disruptions. It also connects with Rapid Navigator Pro as well as Rapid’s mobile and web applications, offering a seamless user experience across PACS, EHR, and reporting systems.
