Simplify Healthcare Appoints Ruchir Ranjan as Chief Executive Officer

AURORA, Ill. — Simplify Healthcare announced that Ruchir Ranjan, formerly the company’s Chief Customer Officer, has been named Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Founder Mohammed Vaid will move into the role of Founder, Executive Chair and Chief Solution Architect, maintaining active involvement in strategic initiatives and long-term product direction.

The leadership change follows a structured six-month succession planning process and underscores the company’s focus on long-term growth and continued innovation in healthcare technology.

“Ruchir has been instrumental in building deep relationships with our customers and driving exceptional outcomes across our client base,” said Mohammed. “Over the past 3 years, he has demonstrated remarkable leadership, strategic thinking, and an unwavering commitment to our mission of transforming healthcare. This transition positions Simplify Healthcare for its next chapter of growth, and I’m confident that under his leadership, we will continue to innovate and serve our customers at the highest level.”

As Chief Customer Officer, Ruchir oversaw customer success and growth initiatives, leading the organization to 100 percent growth over three years and expanding engagements with more than 70 health plans across more than 200 solutions. Since joining the company in 2022, he has played a key role in expanding the workforce from more than 600 to more than 900 employees and increasing the customer base from 40 to more than 70 health plan clients.
