CAMBRIDGE, Mass.– Quantori and Expert Systems announced a strategic collaboration aimed at developing and commercializing foundational predictive artificial intelligence models to accelerate pharmaceutical research and development.

Under the partnership, Expert Systems’ predictive AI technology will be integrated into Quantori’s flagship Q-Scientist platform as Q-Models. The companies said the integration is designed to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations forecast key research outcomes, accelerate candidate selection, and optimize complex drug development workflows, with the goal of reducing both timelines and costs associated with bringing new medicines to market.

Quantori said the collaboration will enhance Q-Scientist’s existing AI agent-based environment by embedding foundational models capable of analyzing large and diverse biological and chemical data sets. The enhanced platform is expected to support decision-making across the entire R&D pipeline, from early discovery through development.

“The future of drug discovery is predicated on highly accurate, foundational AI that can draw insights from vast, disparate biological and chemical data sets,” said Quantori’s Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Yuriy Gankin. “By embedding Expert Systems’ cutting-edge predictive models into our Q-Scientist platform, we are transforming our AI agent-based ecosystem into an even more powerful engine for innovation. This dramatically enhances the ability of our AI agents to support decision-making across the entire R&D pipeline.”

Expert Systems CEO Dr. Tudor Oprea said the partnership provides a strong pathway for deploying predictive AI within regulated life sciences environments.

“Quantori’s deep domain expertise in life sciences and their robust Q-Scientist platform provide the perfect commercialization and deployment vehicle for our AI technology,” Oprea said. “This collaboration is a significant step toward making predictive AI an indispensable, time-saving component of every drug discovery program, ensuring scientists have access to insights that supports decision making.”

The foundational models developed through the collaboration are expected to address challenges in early-stage R&D, including target identification and validation, compound property optimization, and early toxicity prediction. Quantori said the models will be used within Q-Scientist to deliver prescriptive guidance, automate data analysis, and enable rapid hypothesis testing.

Both companies said the alliance is intended to strengthen Quantori’s position in AI-driven drug development and expand Expert Systems’ presence in the life sciences sector. The collaboration aims to establish a new benchmark for predictive accuracy and practical application in pharmaceutical research and development.
